Click Bank Review

If you’ve been around Internet marketing or affiliate marketing at all, then there is a good chance you have heard of the company and program called Clickbank. However, if you haven’t used it — as an affiliate or a seller — there is a good probability you don’t know how it works. Today, I’ll be covering the Clickbank review to determine if you can really make money with this system.

Things To Know Before You Get Started With Clickbank

First, lets define exactly what Clickbank is for those that don’t know. Essentially, the service is an online meeting place people who have created and want to sell digital products and other online affiliate marketers looking for good products they can promote on their own sites and share in the profits.

As an example, let’s say I run an affiliate-based site that reviews children’s books. I can go on Clickbank and find authors who have written children’s book and want to promote them. I then check out the percentage they are willing to pay when someone purchases their book through my link.

I sign up for their product and then get my unique affiliate link that I promote on my own website. Clickbank then acts as the middle man between me and the author and handles payment to us both when a sale is made. Of course, Clickbank gets its share of the transaction as well.

Is Clickbank A Scam? Or Is It Legit?

There is a lot of good information and maybe even more misinformation on Clickbank out there. So, it can be a bit confusing to say the least when you are checking it out. There are some websites that claim you can make thousands of dollars with little time and little effort — but we all know that’s a load of bull. No good profits on the Internet come without a little honest work.

There is good money to be made with Clickbank, however. The key is to understand the system. There is a lot to learn about with respect to online and affiliate marketing, so if you are new to it all, there is definitely a learning curve. But you can do it with a little perseverance. Here’s a list of what you will need to get started:

  • Knowledge of affiliate and online marketing in general. The Wealthy Affiliate is where I got my start. It’s packed with tools and has a great and supportive community to get you going.
  • Patience, diligence and hard work.
  • Training. You have to have the right training to make money with Clickbank. The site itself offers some pretty good tutorials for both folks looking to market their products and for affiliate marketers looking for products to promote across 20 different categories.

So How Do You Make Online Money With Clickbank?

There are two primary ways to make money with Clickbank. The first is to choose to be an affiliate for the thousands of products on the site. Every time someone clicks on your affiliate link, you make money. And you can earn up to 75 percent of the sale price on many different products. Also, you can promote multiple products at the same time for different product creators at the same time.

Alternatively, you can create your own products, place them in the Clickbank marketplace and have other people promote them. A few examples:

  • An eBook you could promote in Clickbank

You could write an ebook showing how to do something or make something. For example, if your site is about food and cooking, you could choose to promote about an ebook on cooking with the grain Quinoa.

  • How To Training Videos. Are you a sales trainer, workout expert or cooking expert? You could create training videos on your area of expertise and promote them in the Clickbank community.

Things To Avoid With Clickbank

Clickbank does not discriminate against any program that members want to promote in the system. So, obviously you are going to get a lot of bad products that you won’t want to promote. Luckily, the site provides some good information that will help you steer clear of certain products. Here are some guidelines:

  • Stay away from products that have an average sale price of less than $20. It won’t be worth your valuable time in promoting them.
  • Avoid products with low “Gravity.” This is the term the system uses to show how attracted customers are to the product. A low number could mean it offers no real value, is no longer available or that no one is interested in it.

Conversely, many products have an average sale price of more than $100. These are the products you’ll want to promote. Also, look for products with a gravity rating of more than 100.

This means that lots of marketers are interested in promoting it. Finally, Clickbank uses a metric called “recurring rebill.” Look for dollar figures over $50 here as these are recurring commissions you will make on the sale.
